Aug 28: Silent March around the Riker Homestead and Vigil at Rikers Island

Please join us on Thursday August 28 at 1PM for a Silent March around the Riker Homestead and Vigil at Rikers Island. We'll meet at beginning of the Q100 bus route in Long Island City (take the 7/N/W trains to Queensborough Plaza and walk a couple blocks to the Q100 bus stop at Jackson Ave/42nd Rd) and travel by bus together to Rikers Island.

This event is part of a series organized by faith partners of the Campaign to Close Rikers, connecting Rikers Island with the legacy of slavery and freedom in New York.
