Join us on Zoom on Wednesday, August 27th, for a Phone Zap to Free Our People as we approach two years out from the legally mandated deadline to close Rikers by August 31, 2027. The number of people on Rikers has swelled since Eric Adams took office, and since the wildcat strike stalled transfers to state prisons.
